United Parcel Service

At UPS, I worked as a Software Engineering Intern / Co-op, contributing to the development of internal tools that support large-scale logistics operations. I was involved in designing and implementing full-stack features, integrating APIs, and improving system performance in a production environment.

Overview

During my internship at UPS, I worked on building and optimizing enterprise-level applications used in real-world logistics systems. This experience allowed me to develop scalable solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain hands-on exposure to cloud-based architecture and production environments.

What I Worked On

I contributed to the development of a full-stack internal web application using Angular and .NET, designed to streamline internal workflows and improve data visibility across teams.

My work included building front-end components, integrating backend APIs, and ensuring seamless communication between systems. I also worked with Azure services to support cloud deployment and data synchronization.

Key Contributions

  • Developed and enhanced features using Angular (frontend) and .NET Core (backend)

  • Integrated REST APIs to connect internal systems and services

  • Worked with Azure SQL and on-prem databases to manage and synchronize data

  • Assisted in implementing secure authentication and role-based access using Azure Entra ID

  • Supported CI/CD pipelines and participated in deployment processes (DEV → UAT → PROD)

  • Collaborated with designers and stakeholders to align technical implementation with user needs

Tools and Technologies

  • Frontend: Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript

  • Backend: .NET Core (C#), REST APIs

  • Cloud & Database: Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory

  • Tools: Visual Studio, VS Code, Postman, Git, Figma

Impact and What I Learned

My contributions helped improve internal workflows by making systems more efficient, reliable, and user-friendly. I gained experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and learned how to build software that operates at enterprise scale.

This experience strengthened my understanding of full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, and real-world software engineering practices. I also developed strong collaboration and communication skills by working within an Agile team and contributing to production-level systems.
